AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello all,

I am trying to create regions of interest for the PAG in a group of our subjects. The first method we tried (i.e. creating a mask that only includes the PAG) has some limitations because the region is so small and our functional voxels are 3.75x3.75x5 mm. Both the cerebral aqueduct and quite a lot of the brainstem that isn't actually PAG ends up getting included this way. Does anyone know of any methods that might allow for better selectivity in an ROI of this size? Would resampling our data into smaller voxels be useful at all? Any ideas or suggestions would be most helpful.

Thanks,
Michael
