could you give a little more info on installing the necessary libraries?

for example, i tried sudo fink install numpy-py25 but the package was not found.

i went to sourceforge.net which has a download for OS10.5, but i'm running 10.4 on a macintel. the platform-independent version they have for download says it requires python 2.4 but mine seems to be 2.3.

do you have any recommendations?
