AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

We now make 64 bit pre-compiled binaries for Mac OS X 10.5 -- under the mellifluous name macosx_10.5_Intel_64.tgz -- from now on, these binaries will be rebuilt along with all the other platforms we directly support.

These binaries are compiled under Xcode 3.1.1 (gcc --version shows "build 5488") and with Xquartz 2.2.3 -- that is not the standard Apple X11, but a later version, downloaded from
  [xquartz.macosforge.org]
  [xquartz.macosforge.org]
If you have problems running these binaries under the standard Apple X11, then you should trying installing Xquartz 2.2.3.

These binaries are statically linked to Motif, so should run without the annoyance of having to install libXm.so from fink or elsewhere.

Daniel Glen put in most of the effort to get this working.

64 bit binaries are useful if you want to process vast datasets -- those more than 2-3 Gbytes in size.
