AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,

For my functional connectivity analysis, I have used the following in order to generate an ideal IRF of a seed region:

waver -dt 2 -GAM -inline 1@1 > GammaHR.1D

However, this IRF shape does not really match the original HRF of the seed region, which was modeled with TENT functions. Especially, the HRF of the seed would normally peak at around 10-11th-s, but the resultant of waver would peak at 6th-s. The duration of peak is quite different too. So I'm not sure if it's okay to run deconvolution on the seed timeseries with this the waver-derived-IRF or I should tweak waver options to create an IRF as similar as that of the original HRF of the seed region.

Thank you in advance for your help!
