AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Gang,

I want to find areas of activation once the Error has been removed.
1- I would certainly like to test for linear relationship. Would I have to add a factor and a column of [1 2 3 4 5 6 7 6 8] for each block?

2- But I'd also like to test without specifying any trend per se, because it's likely to change across brain areas and linear may not fit what's really happening. So I'd rather just look for areas with changes in at least 1 block; like an F test from a one-way anova would do, but with the Error removed.

What kind of Model would I have to write?

3- The model you proposed : Model:Error+Cond resulted in 4 subbriks. #0 Cond F, #1 Error F, #2 Error, #3 Error t. Is #0 the F test of the main effect of Cond once the Covariate has been removed or just the main effect of Cond? and #1 the main effect of Error (covariate)?

Thanks for your help,
