Hi Laura,

You are correct. The renderer requires an existing BRIK file
(as opposed to just the .HEAD that gets created in a manual
Talairach transformation). The afni GUI is basically the only
AFNI program that does not need the BRIK file, since it has
the warp-on-demand feature, where it gets one slice at a time
for the viewer.

To write it out, display it in +tlrc space and:

Define Datamode -> Write -> Ulay
