There are more serious problems with 64-bit LessTif than I care to enumerate at this moment. For the nonce, please install the 32-bit version of AFNI, which should work (if you've followed instructions and installed fink, etc.).

This also applies to the 64-bit version under Linux, I'm afraid. Something very unpleasant happens when you compile LessTif in 64-bit mode, unlike the case with Motif.
