AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

My lab at FDA encompasses cardiac and neurophysiology. Our work has been in electrophysiology on a cellular
or tissue level. We recently benefited from an imaging initiative, and we have a keen interest in hiring a researcher to start a program related to functional brain imaging. We want to hire a person to do original research and help us evaluate device trials by providing expertise in brain imaging as an endpoint in clinical trials. We have not defined a specific area of research, but the candidate would need to be self motivated and collaborate well with others. Ideally the candidate would integrate the research with our sister Division of Imaging and Applied Mathematics, led by Dr. Kyle Myers. The level of the appointment would be as a staff fellow. Please feel free to forward this message and have appropriate candidates contact me.

From the FDA's Web site:

FDA Staff Fellows (Federal):

Staff Fellows conduct research in many areas, including biochemical toxicology, genetic toxicology, reproductive and developmental toxicology, and neurotoxicology. Initial appointments do not exceed five years, but may be extended. Staff Fellows must have a Ph.D. or equivalent. Senior Staff Fellows must have a Ph.D. and a minimum of two years of appropriate post-doctoral research. All candidates must be U.S. citizens or resident aliens. Staff Fellows are eligible for the same employee benefits as a permanent civil servant.
