Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

Hi Keith,

The renderers do not allow float data for the underlay (though
they do for the overlay). I do not recall why that would have
been more difficult, but it is a current limitation.

As an option, convert such datasets to scaled shorts, say:

3dcalc -a floats.nii -expr a -datum short -prefix scaled.shorts

Note that 'scaled.shorts' will come out in AFNI format (we avoid
scaled shorts in NIfTI format).
