AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Rick Reynolds pointed out for functional clusters, the interiorosity might be better if it were weighted by the function instead of the mask dataset. Also, it's best to use the smallest sphere that can encompass the whole ROI.

3dLocalstat -nbhd 'SPHERE 15' -stat sum -mask crescentroi+orig. -prefix interiorosity2 func_slim+orig'[1]'

This required a small change to the code to allow for a sum statistic, so this change will be included in the next binary distribution.

I tried to find a similar measure elsewhere, and this paper includes a measure called "interiorness". Although computed differently, I believe it ends up being the same thing.
