OK, I decided to spend a few moments this evening setting the MPEG save function in AFNI to automatically set the pattern to something appropriate when the Anim_Dup parameter is on. This new feature will be compiled into AFNI sometime in the near future, and will obviate you having to manually set the MPEG frame pattern yourself.
