AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello,

We have been analyzing some of our data using the gamma variate function in our GLM model. However, we have been having a hard time determining which is the best appropriate delay time for the 8 subjects we have for our study. Recently, we have taken the exhaustive approach of running analyses separately for each subject with a delay in the gamma function at 0 sec, 2 sec, 4 sec, and 6 sec. And from there we compare the resulting activation maps. The most appropriate delay time in the gamma function differed from subject to subject. Is there some possible alternative to this method? Is there anything in the fmri literature that has addressed this type of issue?

Your help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

Michael
