AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Now I am confused.

(1) I've never seen this 'padlock' logo before, especially as an icon. I don't know for sure what it means. I might guess that the OS (Ubuntu) thinks AFNI is a security risk?

(2) This isn't caused directly by AFNI setting a "waiting" state, since that turns the blank spot with the "AFNI" dodecahedron into the "AFNI" sunburst. So my original posting is in the wrong direction.

In short, I don't know what is happening. Since I don't use Linux any more (Mac OS X all the way for me, now), perhaps Rick Reynolds might be able to help?
