AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,
coud somebody help me with this? I'd appreciate it,
Thank you very much,
A

Hi,
I am having some difficulties with a reviewer's question.
I included in a paper (block design study, comparing two groups on two conditions) a table with significant clusters of activation in each group and between groups, as resulting from 3dAnova3 and Clusterize, as well as a figure showing significant group differences in cluster activation for each condition. A reviewer asked to include parameter estimates for those significant clusters, in a graph for each group and each condition, “to visually screen for magnitude effects and potential deactivation”.
What would be the best way to do it?

We use effect size maps and do Anovas on those. The ‘clusterize’ output from which I construct my tables gives cluster volumes in voxels number. Can I do a ROI analysis based on anatomical ROI for each cluster, and report the voxels of activation for each group and condition as parameter estimates (to be consistent with the Anova) or what else should I do? It seesm reviewers do not really like the voxel count for ROI analyses.
Thank you very much for your feedback,
A
