Hi!
I am interested in doing an analysis where I correlate behavioural performance on a memory task with brain activation across a group of participants. I believe that in order to do so I use the program 3dRegAna.
I have 14 rows (participants) and 1 column (predictor: difference score of memory performance). My question regards the input datasets.
For my data, participants performed a memory task. There were 10 different response types coded based on three response types (R, K, or N) for three different stimuli (Face, Scrambled, and New) and the baseline (B). I then used 3dDeconvolve to compare each of the 9 response types to baseline (e.g., RFacevB).
In my group ANOVA I compared two response types (RFacevB to RScrambledvB). I would now like to correlate behavioural performance to brain activation when these two response types are compared (i.e., to see what brain regions more highly active for RFacevB as compared to RScrambledvB correlate with behavioural performance).
Do I need to compare RFacevB to RScrambledvB in each participant and do the correlation on these datasets? What is the best way to go about answering this question?
Thanks,
Jenn
