AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello,

What is the calculation adwarp uses to create "new" voxels? For example, If my original voxel is 1x1x3mm, and I use adwarp to warp to 1mm cubed, how does it calculate the new voxels? I can't find this information in the help or discussion, so sorry if it's out there already.

Context for my question: My functional voxels are not cubic, and using adwarp I must warp to isometric voxels (correct??). We have discussed what is the best way to warp to cube, and it seems the best may be to select a new voxel size dimension closest to the original voxel volume. However, we're not sure this is the best method (e.g. originally I used the largest side, but we're afraid we're loosing data - vs. creating identical data by using the smallest side). Advice?

Thank you!
