Hi Mike,

Try installing some of the xorg-x11-fonts packages,
such as xorg-x11-fonts-misc. If the misc package
does not help try xorg-x11-fonts-75dpi or -100dpi.
I'm not sure which is appropriate, but I have many
of these:

yum search xorg-x11-fonts
