There is a small point of confusion here. Columns 9 and 10
are from the X-matrix, but you are looking at columns 9 and 10
from your regressor file, which does not include the baseline.

The regressors in question from your file are columns 5 and 6.

What is your strong interest in using these regressors as they
are? You can down-sample to a 2 second grid easily, just get
the even indices:
