Daniel's suggestion for the first problem is a good one -- you need to enable plugins, probably the way he described.

For the second problem, note that the problem is "internal compiler error". Without a system like the one you are trying to use, it's impossible for us to workaround this problem. My only suggestion would be to try to compile this particular module (and any others that fail similarly) with '-O0' instead of '-O2' (and remove '-ffast_math') -- and maybe see if there is a later version of gcc available that you could install.
