AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Michael,

I don't really understand what you are trying to do with AlphaSim.

Note that the purpose of AlphaSim is to define a minimal cluster
size to achieve a corrected p-value, given an input grid, mask,
blur widths and uncorrected p-value. Typically, the only dataset
input to AlphaSim is a mask (which would define the voxel grid as
well as the mask itself which denotes the subset of voxels that
you want to consider as your valid world).

So after AlphaSim, one would almost assuredly run 3dmerge, as you
are doing. AlphaSim would not replace 3dmerge.

Anyway, maybe I am just missing the point of what you want...
