Hi Rob,
That file is tab-delimited, aside from having an odd set of
line terminators. Even if fixed to be a proper Unix file,
column selection cannot work because it is not rectangular.
It must have been made as a spreadsheet...
Okay, give this a try.
1. It seems to have just CR line terminators, so start by
replacing those with newline characters.
sed 's/\r/\n/g' ../order4_cat_imag_stim_times.1D > ord4.unix.1D
2. Then grab one tab-delimited column at a time using awk.
foreach ind ( `count -digits 1 0 7` )
@ i1 = $ind + 1
awk -F'\t' '{print $'$i1'}' ord4.unix.1D > ord.c$ind.1D
end
