AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Folks!

I'm trying to run AFNI on a mosix 64 bit cluster (linux kernel 2.6.29): in particular we are interested to run 3dDeconvolve on multicore nodes of the cluster. Mosix doesn't support mmap function while 3dDeconvolve load datasets into memory using this function. I have seen on README.environment that setting the environment variable AFNI_NOMMAP to YES should avoid afni programs to use mmap, but it doesn't work with 3dDeconvolve! Is there a possibility to disable mmap? The 3dDeconvolve works well on the cluster only if run several instances (with -jobs 1) on different files (the processes migrate on free cluster nodes).
Thanks in advance,

Giacomo
