AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi all

I have a problem with resampling dataset. I have two datasets.

Dataset 1:
Data Axes Approximate Orientation:
first (x) = Right-to-Left
second (y) = Anterior-to-Posterior
third (z) = Superior-to-Inferior [-orient RAS]
R-to-L extent: -0.000 -to- 254.000 [L] -step- 2.000 mm [128 voxels]
A-to-P extent: -0.000 -to- 254.000 [P] -step- 2.000 mm [128 voxels]
I-to-S extent: -128.000 -to- 0.000 -step- 2.000 mm [ 65 voxels]

Dataset 2:
Data Axes Approximate Orientation:
first (x) = Right-to-Left
second (y) = Anterior-to-Posterior
third (z) = Superior-to-Inferior [-orient RAS]
R-to-L extent: -132.732 [R] -to- 121.268 [L] -step- 2.000 mm [128 voxels]
A-to-P extent: -127.329 [A] -to- 126.671 [P] -step- 2.000 mm [128 voxels]
I-to-S extent: -2.783 -to- 125.217 [S] -step- 2.000 mm [ 65 voxels]

I want to resample dataset 2 to meet the grid and extent as dataset 1. I have tried 3dresample and it can generate a dataset which can meet the grid and extent as dataset 1. But the two images (dataset 1 and new resampled dataset) are not matched with position as viewed by afni.

How can I resample the dataset 2 with just changing the axes extents same as dataset 1 and at the same time keeping the same image position as dataset 1 (that means these two images need to be overlapped)?

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Thank you.

Angel
