AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Guys,

I'm having a little trouble dilating a functional cluster which I want to increase in size by 50%. I tried some smoothing of the image and get some wonky results. I've read on the listserve some suggestions to use 3dAutomask but these keep dilating the entire brain rather than just my cluster.

Here are a couple of commands I've tried:

(using a binary mask i created with a step function in 3dcalc)

3dAutomask -prefix clust_p.005_genexgrpN47_x1.5 -dilate 1.5 mask_clustp.005_genexgrpN47_amygant+tlrc

(just using the clusterized file)

3dAutomask -prefix clust_p.005_genexgrpN47_x1.5 -dilate 1.5 clust_p.005_genexgrpN47ant+tlrc

Thanks for any tips, in advance!
