AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello,

I was wondering whether there is a way to multiply a preprocessed fMRI image by a set of weights for the different levels of a factor at each voxel, and then take the sum of those multiplied weights.

As a hypothetical example, say there is a brain with three voxels each representing a different weight (say, [-1, 0, +1]). I would then want to multiply this 3D brain by a 4D dataset, also containing three voxels over time (say there are three time points with three voxels each, [10, 20, 15], [5, 6, 10], [14, 42, 7]). Multiplying each voxel by the weights and taking the sum, I would get -5, -5, and 7 for each time point.

My question is, is there a command already designed for this, or would it all have to be done through 3dcalc? What I want in the end is essentially a 1d timecourse of these sums for the 4D dataset.

Thank you,

-Andrew
