AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

If you run afni with

afni dir1 dir2 ...

Then it will load all the datasets in each directory and then you can switch among them with the 'Switch Session' button. Running afni without anything on the command line is equivalent to

afni .

where '.' of course is Unix-ese for the current directory.

If you are adventurous, you can also do

afni -R

which will read datasets from all sub-directories recursively. Do NOT try this at the top of a very large data tree, or you will be unhappy.

afni -help will print out a lot of information about the options for using this program. Also see the presentation below:
