AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Anita,

The -full_first option is the default now; the Full F-stat
should be the first sub-brick, unless you specify otherwise.

The -iresp option is used when you have a variable shaped
response, such as with TENT(). When using BLOCK or GAM
there is no reason to request the impulse response curve,
because you are already assuming that fixed shape response.

When using afni_proc.py, the -iresp option will be added
for any basis function other than variants of GAM/BLOCK.

The -fitts option is used to generate the fit time series
for your model (sum of all betas times their regressors).
I find it extremely useful to look at the model fit curve
on top of the raw data. See the last section of this post
for details:

<[afni.nimh.nih.gov];

Also, consider the "Start to Finish"/"Soup to Nuts" class
handout:

The fitts dataset is show with the data on slide 41.
