AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi, there,

I used 3dfractionize to change the resolution of an automask to fit that of output of a 3dttest. I simply want to mask out extra-brain activation before thresholding the results with 3dmerge. I used the preserve command in my 3dfractionize, however, when I use 3dcalc to multiply my fitted automask by my results, the output is all positive. There are no more negative values.

Why isn't my preserve option working as expected? My automask is simply inside the brain and equal to 1. Why would multiplying it by the output make it all positive if I've run it through with the -preserve?

I've done this before and am not sure why things are different this time...

Thanks for the help!
Andrea
