AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

hi all

First, apologies for this post being at best obliquely related to AFNI. However, I can't think of where else one could find expertise in this particular matter.

We are interested in obtaining a vacuum pillow to minimize head motion, as we are performing single-subject presurgical scans and the patients (understandably) often exhibit high to unacceptable amounts of motion. Unfortunately, it's hard to figure out exactly what we need and where to get it from a simple google search.

So I was wondering if you good people would fill me in on what model you use, whether it helps a lot, whether participants tolerate it well, where you got it, how much it costs, etc. If this is judged to be too off-topic for the AFNI board then could you email me personally at

james dot keidel at manchester dot ac dot uk?

Thanks so much in advance.

JK
