Dear AFNI experts:

I have created a monster. I ran a bunch of 3dcalcs on a dataset, increasing its history, and now i have a .HEAD file that is 592MB!!

This is so big that it increases computation time with this dataset to an almost crippling degree. Have tried to edit HEAD file but it crashes all text editing programs. Is there any way to delete this history and preserve the rest of the header info so that I do not have to recreate the dataset?
