AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello,
I would like to mask AFNI statistical results using 3dcalc -expr 'a*b' where 'a' is the statistic (a t-test 2-sub-brik file for example) and 'b' is a byte mask [0,1]. When I load this new overlay, the q-value in the afni viewer displays N/A. So here are my questions:
1) Is there a reason for that?
2) Is this masking operation a valid thing to do?
3) Can you include a mask option in your statistics programs (3dRegAna, 3dANOVA, 3dttest, etc) to only compute statistics inside a mask?

Thanks a lot,
Stathis Kanterakis
