Why this bash bashing? Is there some awesome feature in tcsh (maybe RFC 1097 [1]) that I'm not aware of?

At least on my system, Terminal with bash reads ~/.bash_profile but seems to ignore ~/.bashrc. Users may want to put the above 'export ...' line in ~/.bash_profile instead.
