Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

Dear Rick,
Thank you kindly for your reply. The one dataset in the command was actually a concatenation of 13 runs -- per your suggestion (I think), I will use the concat option and split them into individual runs. Regarding the stim files... I was under the impression that you can pass condition files (with 0s and 1s) to 3dDeconvolve, from which the appropriate stim_times would be created a

Dear Rick,
I'm coincidentally having a similar issue this afternoon. I've been running 3dDeconvolve on a dataset and received numerous warnings, such as:
*+ WARNING: Smallest FDR q [3 self#0_Tstat] = 0.999789 ==> very few (if any) true detections
*+ WARNING: Smallest FDR q [4 self_R^2] = 0.993538 ==> very few (if any) true detections

shanusmagnus,
Thank you kindly for your reply! I will give the BLOCK function a try. However, a more general question, does AFNI need the duration information? If I use a regular "GAM" -- will AFNI be able to infer how long my stimulus is, or will it assume that it is the length of the TR? Or, will it not matter? I looked at the x-matrix and it appeared that the GAM and BLOCK st

Hello!
I am analyzing a relatively simple event-related design with 5 second trials throughout the run, each of which begin with a stimulus that has a duration of 3 seconds. The trials can be relatively close in time, and I'm trying to tease out effects in a few stimulus categories (presented randomly). I am giving AFNI my stim times in real time (seconds) -- not necessarily associated
