Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

Thanks, that is great! For those of us who won't be at HBM this year, is there a consistent story we can use in our grant applications or papers to reassure reviewers that using AFNI is not problematic (or not more than using FLS or SPM)?

Hi, I thought perhaps I should explain better what I'm trying to do (this is something I've seen in a number of papers, but I'm not sure of the best way of achieving this in AFNI).
In the simplest case, I have an e-rel dataset with two conditions, randomly intermixed. The ITI is such that there is substantial overlap between subsequent trials, and so at any time t the signal is

Hi, I was wondering how to use 3dsvm on e-rel datasets.
What I was thinking of doing was to use 3dDeconvolve on my dataset and have one regressor per trial. Then, use 3dsvm on the the brik with all the betas, since at that point one could give them labels.
This seems a rather cumbersome method though, involving writing hundreds of time files for the single trials.
Does this make any s
