Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

So I decided to give up on this and install the binaries for xorg7_64. Still would like to know where 3dSkullStrip disappeared!

Now to do some actual work after the installation..
it appears that I do not have a 3dSkullStrip:
$align_epi_anat.py -anat Datasets/Imagination/MPRAGEco.nii.gz -epi Datasets/Imagination/Imagination.nii.gz -epi_base 5 -epi2anat
#++ align_epi_anat version: 1.50
#Script is running:
3dAttribute DELTA Datasets/Imagination/Imagination.nii.gz

Thanks! Btw, I have updated the notes.linux_fedora_21 file and the Makefile to correspond to Fedora 21. (Largely the same but for minor dependencies which are needed.) If there is interest, I can send it (to where)?
I had a question also: there are directories such as SUMA, etc that have files that are created/touched in the process. Do I not have to move these?
Many thanks,
Ranjan

Hi Rick,
Thinking about this, is it

possible to do a softlink such as:
ln -s ~/abin linux_openmp_64
Many thanks,

Btw, FYI, interestingly enough, with the Makefile of Fedora19, tcsh is not needed. The installation completes.
$ rpm -qa tcsh
Many thanks!

Rick,
Thank you very much for this! I had not looked into other_builds directory (it is kind of hard to look for directories, etc amidst so many files with ls even though my directories are color-coded) so I apologize for this.
Is there any preference of one over the other? I am trying the other_builds/Makefile.linux_fedora_19_64
Makefile right now. And the OS notes are a big help, and ne

Dear friends,
Sorry, but I found it here (and also modified somethings). I am putting all this here in the hope that it may be useful to some:
Thus, I decided to copy Makefile.linux_openmp_64 to Makefile.
And then did a bunch of yum installs, specifically
sudo yum install libXp R tcsh
sudo yum install libXmu-devel
sudo yum install lesstif-devel
sudo yum install compat-gcc-34

Dear friends,
I am trying to install AFNI on a 64-bit Fedora 21. Is there a set of detailed instructions somewhere?
From what I found, it appears to me that I should either download the xorg7_64 binaries (but am not sure if these are updated enough for F21) or the source code. I downloaded the latter but am lost after this. I get a bunch of files after unpacking, including several README.*
