AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

1. I read that and from what i gathered that command is needed if i use xquartz as the x11 system. We do use xquartz as our default x11 on our macs.

3. I have no idea if anyone here uses it for whatever its needed for so i will install 4.5 and command line tools to be on the safe side.

I do not understand this or how to do it. We do have Mac servers here however they are connected to AD and set MCX settings directly through AD with a modified schema. I think this would be nice to do but I dont understand exactly how it is done.

I do not know if I will actually implement this but I would like to have the option so knowing how to put it in both the bash and tcsh global settings would be ideal as it gives me more options to work with.

It turns out that the person who set up afni on our 10.6 image put it in /opt/abin so i will be putting it there to keep consistency.
