Hi Gang,
I am interested in testing the interaction between age (continuous) and gender while controlling for average motion (continuous). Is 3dttest++ still the most appropriate function?

If I set up a paired 3dttest with set A = female and set B = male and my covariates file including age and average motion, my output subbricks are:

[0]female-male_mean
[2]female-male_age
[4]female-male_motion
[6]female_mean
[8]female_age
[10]female_motion
[12]male_mean
[14]male_age
[16]male_motion

It is clear that subbricks [8] and [14] give me the regions of age-related changes in connectivity controlling for movement for males and females separately. My question, then, is how to test whether the connectivity profiles are statistically different for males or females. That is, testing whether males and females show different age-related changes in connectivity (while controlling for motion). Is this subbrick [2]?

There are no differences in age or motion between males and females.

Thank you!
