AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear All,

good day, hope all's well.

Was wondering if you could let me know if the following pipeline would be acceptable or problematic for fMRI data:

EPI images > realigned images > First-level analysis in native subject space > spatial normalization of contrast images to ICBM template > spatial smoothing (8 mm FHWM) > second level analysis (ICBM space).

If I'm not mistaken, this is the pipeline that Joern recommends when using SUIT
[www.icn.ucl.ac.uk]

Would that be also acceptable using the standard ICBM template? Is it violating any gaussian assumptions for the analysis of data at the first level?

A great many thanks and apologies for the naivete of the question
