AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi!

We just installed a RedHat server to be used for our fMRI analysis so I obviously want to install afni. I have previously done this on my Ubuntu system and from (http://afni.nimh.nih.gov/afni/download/afni/releases/latest) downloaded the Linux OpenMP 64bit function package.

I never really understood the difference between these function packages and since it worked fine I just carried on. But since this will be our analysis server for a while it is important that the installations is done right. This is a RedHat 7.1 working station server that have two graphics cards installed (we hope to use these with virtualGL in the future) and several processing cores and will serve simultanious users. Which function package should I choose and why?

Linux gcc32, Linux glibc22, Linux xorg7, Linux xorg7 64bit, SGI Altix icc or Linux OpenMP 64bit?

Thanks!

Robin
