Hi Robin,

Thanks for the reminder about your first question. Two main
ways that it can be beneficial for task data are:

1. mitigating the effects of scanner artifacts, perhaps most
notably when coils start to go bad

2. getting rid of some of the physiological fluctuations that
are not task-based

The second point might be a good idea in general, but it
is particularly important when running a PPI, say.

For your apparent voxel size, it seems reasonable.


On the flip size, there are some reports of seeing task-
based BOLD signals in white matter when scanning at
high resolution at 7T. So there may be more to ponder...
