AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi John,

Note that our expert (by far) on this is no longer with
the group.

Just running MapIcosahedron with varying output densities
may already be doing what you want. It is not clear to
me what else you actually want SurfToSurf to accomplish.
Note that @SUMA_Make_Spec_FS already create surfaces at
mesh densities of 60 and 141. Multiple -ld options can
be added to create surfaces at other densities.

1) Using 'sphere' should not be necessary. The standard
mesh surfaces are created to map the topology of the
standard (aligned) spheres back to the coordinates of
the single subject. So the surface nodes are comparable
across subjects, though their coordinates are not.

2) I would have to look into this, but do not have the
time right now. Sorry to be brief.
