AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear AFNI experts:

I am interested in using SUMA to do a group analysis, but I want to warp to a different template (rather than Talaraich or the MNI Collins N27 template). If I am using another template, would I need to process it through FreeSurfer in order to generate the surface mesh or is there a tool within SUMA which performs this?

In looking at the SUMA documentation, there is a step where the subject brain is inflated to a sphere. The sphere is then matched to a template sphere (see attached image). I wanted to find out if the template sphere is independent of the space you want to warp to (i.e. warp subject sphere to the template sphere- THEN transformed to MNI or Talairaich space?), or if the template sphere is generated directly from the MNI template (through FreeSurfer autorecon processing)?
