We have run afni_restproc.py successfully, but now we are trying it with the FD and DVARS options. We are getting an error saying that we have to have the -align option on. However, in the past we have kept it off because we are handing it preprocessed data. With align on, it runs 3dvolreg then tries to do a SkullStrip on the functional image using 3dSkullStrip. It appears to fail when using 3dSkullStrip on the functional image. The error we are getting is:

Warning 3dSkullStrip (SUMA_3dSkullStrip.c:1555):
Input dataset has a very low value range.
If stripping fails, repeat with option -fac 1000
Fatal Signal 11 (SIGSEGV) received

We understand why align has to be on for FD and DVARS but is it a bug that it is trying to do 3dSkullStrip on a functional image? Or, is our functional image problematic so that 3dSkullStrip is not working here?

Thank you for your help.
