Does this approach work for thresholding group-level analyses?

To be more specific, is the following an appropriate pipeline?

1. 3dFWHMx -acf <separately for each subject's residuals>
2. Average the output of (1) to get average (a,b,c) values
3. 3dClustSim -acf <using a,b,c derived above>
