AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Christine,

That option (-rand_post_stim_rest no) only applies to the
advanced usage. You are currently applying the simple
usage. It is okay, but the -rand_post_stim_rest option
will not work in this basic case.

Regarding your question of whether you need more baseline
trials, that is not actually something this methods is
designed to evaluate. This method evaluates different
randomizations with the given timing durations. If you
change the overall experiment duration, that might not
be directly comparable.

Currently you have 150s of rest, distributed in 3s
multiples (so 0 or 3 or 6, etc). Is that really how
you want it? Would you prefer a range, maybe 2..10,
say? It looks like the mean ISI should be about 5s,
the way you have set it up.
