AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

I used the rendering plug-in to make a nice cutaway head and brain with activation overlay.

THe render -help states that there is no way to save a series of images as an animation, but that one could save images singly to disk and then amalgamate them with some other software into an .mpg or something.

Two questions:

1) How can I save my nice rendered image to disk? There appears no obvious means to do this, as there is no analogue to the 2d rendering image viewer save button. THe help file mentions a save:bkg option that I did not find.

2) Has anyone used 3rd party software to make a little movie out a series of render images? What software is recommended?
