AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,

Anyone here has the experience of analyzing fMRI scan of the
Sterberg Item Recognition Paradigm (SIRP) experiment?

I tried to use 3dDeconvolve with 6 stimuli: arrow, probe 1, 3, 5, encoding and crosshair,
but the reported R**2 for the overall fitting was lower than 0.3. Any suggestions?
I also tried 3dttest, 3dMannWhitney, and 3dANOVA to compare the SIRP scan
with the resting scan and found nothing interesting.

In all cases, the 3d+time EPI data were not preprocessed (except using 3dvolreg
to register each sub-brick to a common sub-brick). If preprocessing (e.g. filtering)
is suggested, what are the proper preprocessing steps?

Thank you in advance,
George
