Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Thanks -- just now downloading new edition of afni, the edition I had was so-o-o-o early-December.
(Plus I'm looking forward to the afni viewer 2%-98% fix.)
Meanwhile, I note a couple more related doc issues:
1. The main SUMA usage doc at:
/ssc/ziad/SUMA/SUMA_doc.htm
... continues to mention (actually emphasize): "3dVol2Surf uses one or two surfaces for the mapping. Surfaces must have MappingRef = SAME"
2. MakeColorMap doesn't seem to be in the list at:
[afni.nimh.nih.gov]
... even after today's refresh.
3. On a separate note, prompted by MakeColorMap -- I'd like to place a vote that when you write helps, you do not insert terminal escape sequences for "bright". The only place those are marginally useful is in direct output to the terminal window, which is often not a practical way to view the help (eg: when it's hundreds of lines) and any uses of the help text either displays them as junk or has to figure out how to remove them.
