Should I be concerned about including outliers in my calculation of the mean signal?

If so, how do you recommend that I address this?

(I am not using the first 4 images of the scan--for either the 3dDeconvolve analysis or the normalization), but am concerned that other outliers in the dataset will skew the calculation of the mean.
