AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi AFNI experts--

I have drawn some ROIs on anatomicals for various subjects. I would like to change reduce their resolution so that it matches that of the EPI datasets.
I have been trying to use 3dfractionize to do so, but am wondering if this is the best method.
I have drawn all the ROIs on a single brain using different colors/values for each.
Basically, my method is to separate the regions, fractionize the ROIs to the EPI resolution, find the maximum value of all of the fractionized values for each voxel, and form the conjunction of each fractionized region with the map of the maximum fractionized values to generate individual regions at the EPI resolution. (The intent of the maximum map business is to ensure that I don't have overlapping ROIs).

The method seems to be working okay, but I am wondering if there is more standard way of approaching this that you all suggest.

Thanks so much for the help thus far--
Jane Lange
